Hello,

I had not listened to stories on itunes before. My husbands work schedule changed and he had to work nights for about a week and I was lonely and couldnt fall asleep with him gone. I love scary movies and books so I thought "why not?" Now almost every night (my husband is back on days again) I have to listen to Mikes stories on my ipod while going to sleep. Creepy I know, but like I said now I am hooked. I tried to listen to others on the internet but Mikes is the only one that keeps my attention.

I came across One Among the Sleepless on Podiobooks, so I checked it out and never looked back. Mike is a great story writer and a jolly nice chap too.

This is really easy for myself to explain,

I was browsing the Itunes store for some short stories to listen to on the way to work, and came across in the first instance hall of mirrors.

I downloaded 'Night Crossing' as a trial to see how good the pod-cast was as there's many sub-standard ones out there. After listening to the episode, I promptly downloaded the whole of U&F, as I loved Mikes writing and narrating style. Soon after I downloaded the rest of his works.

Its really nice to hear how Mike has progressed from his earlier works to his latest works. I now really look forward to every new pod-cast Mike produces, and I really appreciate his hard work and time, to produce entertainment for myself and every one else. His combination of humour, and suspense make it all in all a great series of works that although are mostly intended for an adult audience, can be enjoyed by most.

Personally i think the likes of L. J. Smith, Charlaine Harris & Stephanie Meyer (the teeny bopper vampire writers) could learn a lot from him, as could Anne Rice to be honest, as she seems to forget too many details in her books so the stories lack continuity. Not so with Mike as we all know. Not only are Mikes stories, enjoyable but they are easy to lose yourself in.

Finally, as the Admin has already stated, Mike is a jolly nice chap as well

what can you say!!!!!!!!

I would like to say something about Mike Bennett's Podcast , I have probroms sleeping and for many years i have this problem , Last year as i was checking out ITunes i ran across my first podcast  the hall of morror's

i have always use audio books to help me fall to sleep but the hall of morror did something no audiobook could do and it take me into the stories as if i am really there and that make me relax and fall asleep just as the story goes off or a little before the store is over or just as it end. i do not need to take any sleeping pills and that's the best part

i am now hooked on Mike Bennett and Seth Harwood I just want to thank them for a job well done and keep it coming

                        Best wishes

You're very welcome Angelfire (and I'm sure I speak for Seth as well).

Hiking

I stubbled across podcasts on iTunes because I finally got an Ipod. I listened to Hall Of Mirrors for the first time while hiking in the woods. I was hooked from that point , listening to horror stories while hiking in the deep, dark woods style o' thing.

WOOF!

I blame my pregnancy

Joke!

I found Mike on iTunes originally, OatS, passed the sleepless, uncomfortable nights before the Devil Child was born (this is not because he is naughty or I don't like him, he has birth marks resembling horns on his head and his NHS number ends 666, it's our affectionate nick name), I then did a search on Mike Bennett and found the site here and haven't looked back, I either listen alone or through the stereo when giving the devil child his feeds (he's only 6 months old and hasn't cottoned on but loves the opening music).

Nice reading how others found Mike.

i had listened to a book from itunes, and when it was done i was in search of something else to listen to, but refused to buy money for them. so i started looking at free things, and came across hall of mirrors, and i just said why the H not? and that was it. first hall of mirrors then number two, then one among the sleepless, and sometimes, and now underwood and flinch, and from not having the drug (im wating for the next episode) i listened to wet velvet. I NEED ANOTHER FIX! lol :-)

How Mike got under my skin

I put him there while fleeing from sleepless nights, and its delightful to sit here in this hall of mirrors listening to my own distorted riflections talk about their polluted veins. Itunes is just my filthy needle, Mike would have no use for my money.

Hi all:  Blame the dogs!  Found the podcasts on Zune and have never looked back!  I listen while we walk -- it's actually a 2fer -- staying healthy by walking and being entertained by Mike's stories at the same time!  I'm glad Underwood is not a 21st Century sissy vampire!  Me

Well I love listening to audio books and I wanted some nice horror to pass the time while I worked (I work at a bar/bistro in Spain) so I began my search on Podiobooks for anything that looked remotly interesting and horrorfying, I stumbled upon 'Hall of Mirrors' (and being as it was midnight) I downloaded the first few eppisodes on my Ipod, (intending to download the rest teh next morning on my laptop) and began to listen to eppisode one Trolls, I was still listening and downloading eppisodes untill my ipod batttery died at about four in the morning, even though I had work the next morning.
Or so I thought. that morning I found out that the place where I worked had had a small kitchen fire so I would be out of work for a few weeks, and since then (about two weeks ago) I have listened and downloaded all of Mike's Podiobooks, I listen to them in the afternoon with my cat, with all the shutters closed and in pitch darkness, I'm still going through Hall of Mirrors two but can't wait to get on to 'Sometimes' and 'Underwood and Finch' not to mention 'One among the Sleepless' I think I will save those for my sisters wedding and the flight back to the uk though.

But I'm glad I stumbled on Mike Bennet's Podiobooks and I hope he carrys on with the awesome work!
Muchos Gracias Mike!!!
